Frist Backs 'Intelligent Design' Teaching

Oh boy. And this guy is probably going to run for president in '08.

The optimist in me would like to think that his public comments that a quack theory like ID is on a par with evolution and should therefore be taught in public schools would help turn the tide in the next election, but seeing as Bush got elected—twice—I'm not all that hopeful.

There's a place for faith-based studies: It's called church.
