Some Interesting "Children's Books"

There's a new "children's book" entitled Help, Mom! There are liberals under my bed! Really, it's true. I read an indignant review/rebuttal about it in a rather liberal local zine and had to laugh. Why get uptight about this book? We liberals have long poked fun at conservatives (can you say, "Al Franken?"), so why shouldn't they get their yuk-yuks once in awhile? I repeat: who cares?

While reading some reviews on Amazon I came several liberal-oriented books, such as No, George, No! (Dubya meets the "Truth Fairy"), King and King (about homosexuality), and It's Just a Plant (a children's intro to the whacky weed—there's a transcript of the author being interviewed by Bill O'Reilly in full-on douchebag mode that's worth checking out).

It's kind of funny how serious some people take No, George, No! Come on, people, do you really think this book was intended for kids? Duh.
