Mr. Cheney's Circular Logic
I was talking about the Bush administation's recent attacks on critics of the Iraq war with a co-worker today and he was lamenting the "circular logic" in these anti-anti-war speeches. That's a good way to describe Bush and Cheney's criticisms of the Democrats who voted for the war based upon "faulty intelligence" (I'm being nice here).
Here are some quotes from Cheney's speech today:
How do you blast someone for changing their mind about the war once the realization struck home that we'd been lied to about Saddam's supposed stockpiles of WMD? What an ass.
Here are some quotes from Cheney's speech today:
"The president and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory."
"Some of the most irresponsible comments have, of course, come from politicians who actually voted in favor of authorizing force against Saddam Hussein."
How do you blast someone for changing their mind about the war once the realization struck home that we'd been lied to about Saddam's supposed stockpiles of WMD? What an ass.
