Holiday Hangover
It's been a busy month, what with the holidays and the five-night cruise to Key West and Nassau that Mel and I took earlier this month. That, plus the rush/crush is on to complete the courseware development project for the Navy that I've been working on for the past three years. I am definitely looking forward to another four-day weekend to bring in the New Year.
So it's been awhile since the Pig's last post. I can't attribute my absence to all the aforementioned activities, though: I've been running and gunning, playing Doom 3 *a lot* lately. After my indoctrination into PC gaming via the sublime Half-Life 2 I decided to see what all the Doom 3 fuss was about. Needless to say, it's been, um, commanding my attention a little bit lately (I think my wife would agree). At any rate, I've almost finished the game and plan to lay off PC gaming for awhile so that I can update my site. Of course, my mother just gave me both Medal of Honor games (Allied Assault and Pacific Assault), so I will be severely tested!
Anyway, I hope everyone near and dear had a great holiday this season. It was great spending some quality time with my mother and Mel's parents, despite the fact that practically everyone was sick, including myself. I took lots of photos of everybody that I will be uploading to my new Flickr Pro account.
Speaking of Flickr, after looking around at the various photo-sharing services (Shutterfly, Ofoto, etc.), Flickr seemed to have the best combination of features, ease-of-use and pricing (there is a free version but if you pay the $25 a year you get way more bandwidth). So I now have a convenient way to upload and share photos with any friends and family who are interested:

There are photos of our cruise up there already; Xmas and other pics are forthcoming. You can even download print-quality (large) photos if you'd like. Ciao for now!
